The Malacca Straits Mosque, also known as the Masjid Selat Melaka, is a mosque located on the man-made island of Pulau Melaka in the Malacca Strait. It is one of the most unique and modern mosques in Malaysia, known for its stunning architecture and serene setting.

The mosque was completed in 2006 and was designed by a team of architects led by Mohamad Kamarudin Yusoff. Its most distinctive feature is its 30-meter-high minaret that leans towards the sea, resembling the leaning tower of Pisa. The mosque is painted in light blue and white colors, which represent the colors of the sea and sky, and is surrounded by a square-shaped pool of water, which gives the mosque a floating effect.

The interior of the mosque is equally impressive, with intricate details and designs that reflect Islamic architecture. The main prayer hall can accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers and is decorated with ornate chandeliers and a beautiful mihrab, or prayer niche, which indicates the direction of Mecca.

Visitors to the mosque are welcomed and are required to dress modestly. Non-Muslim visitors are also allowed inside the mosque, but they are not permitted to enter the prayer hall during prayer times. The mosque is open for visitors daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except during prayer times.
