London Zoo, officially known as the Zoological Society of London, is located in the Regent's Park area of London, England. It is one of the oldest scientific zoos in the world, founded in 1826 by Sir Stamford Raffles, who was also the founder of the modern city of Singapore.
The zoo houses a wide range of animals from around the world, including lions, tigers, gorillas, penguins, and many more. One of the most popular attractions is the "Land of the Lions" exhibit, which is a recreation of the Sasan Gir wildlife sanctuary in India, home to the last remaining Asiatic lions.
The zoo is also home to several conservation and research programs, such as the "Edge of Existence" program, which focuses on the conservation of threatened species, and the "Living Links" program, which studies the behavior and cognitive abilities of primates.
