Lavertezzo is a small picturesque village located in the Verzasca Valley of the Ticino canton in Switzerland. The village is known for its beautiful natural surroundings and is a popular destination for nature lovers and photographers. The village is situated at an altitude of 590 meters above sea level and has a population of just over 300 people.

One of the main attractions of Lavertezzo is the double-arched stone bridge known as the Ponte dei Salti, which spans the crystal-clear waters of the Verzasca River. The bridge is a popular spot for sunbathing, swimming, and cliff jumping. The village is also home to a number of traditional stone houses, some of which date back to the 17th century, and a beautiful baroque church, the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli.

Lavertezzo is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is a great starting point for hikes in the nearby valleys. Visitors can also take a dip in the natural pools of the Verzasca River or go canyoning and rafting in the surrounding gorges. The village is also known for its delicious local cuisine, including dishes made with polenta, chestnuts, and goat cheese.
