The Lahore Fort, also known as Shahi Qila, is a historical fort located in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the country's most iconic landmarks.

The fort was built during the Mughal era, specifically during the reign of Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. It was later expanded and renovated by subsequent Mughal emperors, including Jahangir and Aurangzeb, and served as a royal residence and military base.

The Lahore Fort is an architectural masterpiece, featuring a blend of Islamic, Persian, and Hindu styles. It covers an area of over 20 hectares and is surrounded by a 2.5-kilometer-long wall. The fort has several magnificent structures, including the Sheesh Mahal, Naulakha Pavilion, and Diwan-e-Aam.

The Sheesh Mahal, or Palace of Mirrors, is one of the most famous parts of the fort. It is a stunning palace decorated with thousands of small mirrors and colored glass pieces that create a mesmerizing effect when sunlight falls on them.

The Naulakha Pavilion, on the other hand, is a magnificent structure that was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. It served as a throne room and was decorated with intricate marble carvings and frescoes.
