Jakarta Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady or the Jakarta Cathedral Church, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the Central Jakarta district of Jakarta, Indonesia. The cathedral is considered one of the oldest and most prominent landmarks in Jakarta, dating back to the colonial era of the Dutch East Indies.

The construction of the cathedral began in 1891 and was completed in 1901, with the aim of replacing the previous church building that was deemed too small to accommodate the growing Catholic population of Jakarta. The cathedral was designed in a neo-gothic style by Dutch architect Antonius Dijkmans, with influences from other notable European cathedrals such as Notre-Dame and Westminster Abbey.

The cathedral's prominent features include its twin spires that reach a height of 60 meters, a large pipe organ that was imported from Germany in 1927, and a beautiful interior decorated with stained glass windows, marble statues, and intricate carvings. The cathedral can accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers at once.

The Jakarta Cathedral has undergone several renovations and restorations throughout its history, including major renovations in the 1980s and 1990s to repair damage caused by the 1962 earthquake and other natural disasters. Today, the cathedral is a popular tourist attraction and a significant site for religious events and celebrations in Jakarta.
