The Hungarian National Gallery is a museum of Hungarian art located in Buda Castle in Budapest, Hungary. It was founded in 1957 as the National Gallery of Hungary, with the aim of collecting, preserving, and exhibiting works of art from Hungarian artists from the 11th century to the present day.

The museum's collection includes more than 100,000 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphics, and decorative arts. The exhibits are presented chronologically, with works from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and Baroque periods, as well as 19th- and 20th-century art.

Some of the highlights of the collection include works by Hungarian artists such as Mihály Munkácsy, József Rippl-Rónai, Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka, László Moholy-Nagy, and Victor Vasarely. The museum also has an extensive collection of international art, including works by Rembrandt, El Greco, Goya, and Picasso.

The Hungarian National Gallery is housed in the Buda Castle, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The building itself is an important example of Baroque architecture, and it offers visitors stunning views of the Danube River and the city of Budapest. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and events throughout the year.
