Hosios Loukas is a historic monastery complex located near the town of Distomo in central Greece. The monastery is considered one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture and art and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The complex consists of two main churches, the Church of the Virgin and the Church of St. Luke. The Church of the Virgin is the larger of the two and was built in the 11th century. It features a large dome and beautiful marble floors, as well as intricate frescoes and mosaics. The Church of St. Luke was built a century later and is smaller, but still impressive with its frescoes and architectural details.

In addition to the two churches, the Hosios Loukas complex also includes a beautiful courtyard, a bell tower, and several other smaller buildings. Visitors can explore the complex on a guided tour or on their own.

Hosios Loukas is an important pilgrimage site and is still used as a monastery today. It is located about 170 kilometers northwest of Athens and can be reached by car or public transportation.
