Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace located in the borough of Richmond upon Thames, just outside of London. The palace was originally built in the early 16th century for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, but it was later taken over by King Henry VIII. Today, the palace is open to the public as a major tourist attraction and historic site.

The palace is known for its stunning Tudor architecture and its beautifully manicured gardens. It features several important historical sites, including the Great Hall, the Chapel Royal, and the Tudor kitchens. Visitors can also see the famous maze, the Royal Tennis Court, and the Palace of Henry VIII.

One of the most popular attractions at Hampton Court Palace is the state apartments. These are beautifully decorated rooms that were once used by the royal family and their guests. Visitors can see the king's and queen's chambers, the great watching chamber, and the king's presence chamber.

The gardens at Hampton Court Palace are also a major attraction. The palace features over 60 acres of stunning formal gardens, including the famous Hampton Court Maze, the Privy Garden, and the Great Fountain Garden. Visitors can also see the Wilderness Garden, the Rose Garden, and the Kitchen Garden.
