Guachimontones is an archaeological site located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It is a pre-Columbian archaeological site of the Teuchitlán tradition and is believed to have been built around 300 BCE. The site contains a series of circular stepped pyramids, which are unique in Mesoamerica. The largest pyramid, known as the "Circular Pyramid," measures 18 meters (59 feet) in height and 60 meters (196 feet) in diameter.

The site is thought to have been an important religious and ceremonial center for the people who built it. The structures are believed to have been used for various rituals, including human sacrifice. The site was abandoned around 900 CE, likely due to a combination of drought, overpopulation, and political instability.

The site was first discovered in the 1970s and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. The circular stepped pyramids are considered to be one of the most significant architectural achievements of ancient Mesoamerica, and the site is an important cultural and historical landmark for the region. Today, visitors can explore the site and learn more about the fascinating history of this ancient civilization.
