The Fernsehturm, also known as the Berlin TV Tower, is a prominent landmark located in the city of Berlin, Germany. It is a television tower and observation tower that stands at a height of 368 meters (1,207 feet), making it the tallest structure in Germany and the fourth-tallest freestanding structure in Europe.
Construction of the Fernsehturm began in 1965 and was completed in 1969. The tower is made up of a slender concrete shaft with a spherical structure at the top, which contains observation decks and a revolving restaurant. Visitors can take an elevator to the observation decks, located at a height of 203 meters (666 feet) and 207 meters (679 feet), to enjoy panoramic views of Berlin and the surrounding areas.
