Faunia is a nature park located in Madrid, Spain. It opened in 2001 and is home to over 3,000 animals from 300 different species. The park is divided into several thematic areas, including the Jungle, the Polar Ecosystem, the Forest, and the Farm, among others.
The Jungle area is a replica of a tropical rainforest and is home to animals such as monkeys, sloths, snakes, and birds. The Polar Ecosystem area recreates the icy landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctic and houses species such as penguins, polar bears, and sea lions.
The Forest area is dedicated to animals that live in woodlands and includes species such as wolves, lynx, and deer. The Farm area has a variety of domestic animals such as horses, cows, and pigs.
Faunia also has a nocturnal area called "Mysterious Forest" where visitors can see animals that are active at night such as bats, owls, and other nocturnal creatures.
In addition to the animal exhibits, Faunia has interactive educational activities for visitors of all ages. The park also has a large greenhouse where visitors can see a variety of plants from different regions of the world.
