The Eden Project is a botanical garden and environmental educational center located in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The project consists of two large biomes, which are transparent domes made of ETFE cushions that serve as greenhouses. The biomes house thousands of plant species from around the world, including tropical rainforest and Mediterranean flora.

The project was designed by Tim Smit, who saw the potential of an old china clay pit in the area, and decided to transform it into a botanical garden. The site covers over 50 hectares and has more than 5,000 different plant species. In addition to the biomes, there are outdoor gardens, walking trails, and an educational center that provides information on ecology and conservation.

One of the main biomes is the Rainforest Biome, which is the largest greenhouse in the world. It has a high humidity and temperature level, and is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including various birds, butterflies, and reptiles. The Mediterranean Biome has a more temperate climate and houses plants from regions such as South Africa, California, and the Mediterranean basin.

The Eden Project is not only a popular tourist attraction, but also an educational resource, promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. The project offers various educational programs and workshops for children and adults, and has been recognized for its commitment to sustainable practices, including renewable energy and waste reduction.
