Casa Vicens is a house in the Gracia district of Barcelona, designed by the famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. Built between 1883 and 1888, it was one of the first important works of Gaudí and represents the beginning of his architectural career. The house was commissioned by Manuel Vicens i Montaner, a wealthy tile manufacturer, who wanted a summer house on the outskirts of the city.

The house is notable for its eclectic mix of styles, blending elements of Moorish, Gothic, and oriental architecture with Gaudí's characteristic whimsical and organic forms. The facade is decorated with colorful tiles and ornate wrought iron, and features a distinctive tower and bay window. The interior of the house is equally stunning, with intricate plasterwork, stained glass, and beautiful ceramic tiles.

After serving as a private residence for over a century, Casa Vicens was acquired by MoraBanc, a private bank, in 2014. The building underwent extensive renovations and was opened to the public as a museum in 2017. The museum includes a permanent exhibition on the history of the house, as well as temporary exhibitions on Gaudí and his work. The restoration has also made it possible to enjoy the beautiful gardens that surround the house.

Casa Vicens is considered an important work of Catalan modernism and a precursor to Gaudí's later and more famous works, such as the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Today, it is a must-see attraction for visitors to Barcelona who are interested in architecture and design.
