Canyon Fairy Tale, also known as Charyn Canyon, is a natural wonder located in the southeast region of Kazakhstan, approximately 200 km east of Almaty. The canyon is a part of the Charyn National Park and stretches for over 150 km in length, with depths up to 300 meters and widths ranging from 20 to 80 meters. It is known for its unique rock formations, dramatic cliffs, and vibrant red and orange colors that change throughout the day, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere.

The canyon was formed over millions of years by the Charyn River, which still flows through it today. Visitors can explore the canyon by hiking, horseback riding, or driving along a scenic road that runs through the park. There are also several lookout points offering panoramic views of the canyon and its surroundings.

One of the most popular attractions within the canyon is the Valley of Castles, a section of the canyon with towering rock formations that resemble medieval castles. Other notable sites include the Devil's Gorge, the Red Canyon, and the Moon Canyon. Visitors can also camp overnight in designated areas within the park, and enjoy stargazing in the clear night sky.
