The Camino del Rey, also known as the King's Pathway, is a narrow and precarious walkway built into the steep walls of the El Chorro Gorge in southern Spain. It was originally built in the early 20th century to allow workers to access the hydroelectric power plants in the area, but it was closed to the public for several years due to safety concerns.

In recent years, the walkway has been completely renovated and reopened to the public as a popular tourist attraction. The walkway is now a 7.7 km long trail that winds through the stunning landscape of the El Chorro Gorge, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, cliffs, and river.

The Camino del Rey is considered one of the most dangerous hikes in the world, as the walkway is narrow and suspended high above the ground in some areas. However, the new renovations have made the trail much safer, with steel railings and a stable pathway.

Visitors can walk the entire trail or choose to walk only certain sections, depending on their fitness level and comfort with heights. The hike takes around 3-4 hours to complete, and it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water.
