The Tower of Pisa, also known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is a freestanding bell tower located in the city of Pisa, Italy. The tower is part of the complex of the cathedral and is famous for its unintended tilt to one side. The tower was built in the 12th century and was intended to stand vertically, but due to a poorly laid foundation, it began to lean during construction. Despite numerous attempts to stabilize it, the tilt remains and is one of the tower's defining characteristics. The tower is made of white marble and has eight floors and is 56 meters tall. Today, the tower is a popular tourist attraction, attracting millions of visitors every year, who come to admire its architecture, history, and to take pictures with its tilt.
