Seljalandsfoss is a famous waterfall located in the South Coast of Iceland, near the Ring Road (Route 1) that circles the island. It is a part of the Seljalands River, which has its source in the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. The waterfall is approximately 60 meters (197 feet) high and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland.

Visitors to Seljalandsfoss can walk behind the waterfall and view it from a unique and spectacular angle. The path behind the waterfall is usually slippery, so visitors should be cautious and wear appropriate footwear. On sunny days, a rainbow can often be seen shining above the waterfall, adding to its beauty.

In addition to Seljalandsfoss, the area around the waterfall is home to several other smaller waterfalls and a black sand beach. The surrounding countryside is also popular for hiking, horseback riding, and bird-watching.
