Savute Reserve is a game reserve located in the Chobe National Park of Botswana. It covers an area of approximately 5,000 square kilometers and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many species of birds.

The Savute channel, which flows through the reserve, is known for its unpredictable behavior, with periods of both flooding and drying up. During the dry season, the channel often dries up completely, leaving behind large areas of grasslands that attract large numbers of grazing animals. This, in turn, attracts predators like lions and hyenas that prey on these animals.

In addition to game drives, visitors can also enjoy other activities in the reserve such as walking safaris, bird watching, and cultural tours to nearby villages. There are several lodges and campsites in the reserve that offer accommodation to visitors, ranging from luxury to budget options.
