Rovinj is a historic coastal town located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, known for its well-preserved Old Town and charming harbor. The Old Town is situated on a small peninsula, surrounded by the Adriatic Sea on three sides, and is characterized by its narrow streets, colorful houses, and numerous churches and squares.

The most famous attraction in Rovinj is the St. Euphemia Church, which dominates the Old Town from its hilltop location. The church is dedicated to the patron saint of Rovinj and is known for its baroque tower, which offers panoramic views of the town and the sea. Other notable landmarks in Rovinj include the Batana House, which is dedicated to the traditional wooden boats used in the area, and the Balbi Arch, which was once a gate to the Old Town.

Rovinj is also known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters, making it a popular destination for swimming and sunbathing. The town is surrounded by numerous islands and islets, which can be reached by boat and offer a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. Additionally, Rovinj is a popular starting point for excursions to the nearby islands of Cres and Losinj, as well as the Lim Fjord, one of the largest fjords in the Adriatic Sea.
