The Ribat of Monastir is a historical fortified monastery located in the city of Monastir in Tunisia. It was built in the 8th century and is considered one of the most significant examples of Islamic military architecture. The ribat served as a place of retreat for Islamic soldiers during times of war and as a center for religious learning.

The Ribat of Monastir is built in a square shape and consists of four towers at each corner. The building has two floors and an inner courtyard. The upper level contains a prayer room with a mihrab (prayer niche) oriented towards Mecca. The ground floor has rooms for storage and accommodation.

The ribat was used as a filming location for the classic film "Monty Python's Life of Brian". Today, it is a popular tourist attraction and is open to visitors who can explore the building and enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea from the top of the towers.
