Reims Cathedral, also known as the Notre-Dame de Reims, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Reims, France. It is considered one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in France and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The cathedral was built in the 13th century on the site of an earlier church and was the site of the coronations of the Kings of France from the 10th to the 18th centuries. The cathedral features a striking façade with elaborate sculptures, stained glass windows, and pointed arches. Inside, visitors can admire the cathedral's soaring nave, richly carved choir stalls, and various chapels dedicated to important saints. During World War I, the cathedral suffered significant damage, but was later restored to its former glory. Today, the Reims Cathedral continues to be an important center of religious and cultural life in France, attracting visitors from around the world.
