Pillnitz Castle is a complex of palaces and gardens located on the eastern outskirts of Dresden, Germany. The palace complex consists of three main buildings: the Water Palace, the Riverside Palace, and the New Palace. The Water Palace is the oldest part of the complex and dates back to the 18th century. It is situated on the bank of the Elbe River and features a Chinese-inspired exterior design. The Riverside Palace, which was built in the early 19th century, is located further inland and has a more classical appearance. The New Palace, which was built in the early 20th century, was designed in a neo-baroque style.

The gardens of Pillnitz Castle are equally impressive, featuring a mix of European and Eastern landscaping styles. The main garden is called the Great Garden and is designed in the French baroque style. It features a large fountain, a canal, and a number of beautifully manicured flower beds. There are also several smaller gardens scattered throughout the complex, each with its own unique style.

Throughout its history, Pillnitz Castle has been used as a summer residence for members of the royal family of Saxony. Today, the complex is open to the public and serves as a museum, showcasing the history and culture of the region. Visitors can tour the various palaces and gardens, as well as view a collection of historic artifacts and artwork. In addition, the complex hosts a number of cultural events throughout the year, including concerts, festivals, and exhibitions.
