Lovatnet is a lake located in the municipality of Stryn in western Norway. The lake is situated at an altitude of 59 meters above sea level and has a maximum depth of 61 meters. Lovatnet is approximately 6.5 kilometers long and is surrounded by high mountains and glaciers, including the famous Briksdal Glacier.

The lake is known for its picturesque scenery and crystal-clear water, which makes it a popular destination for tourists visiting the Stryn area. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities on and around the lake, including fishing, swimming, hiking, and kayaking. The lake is home to several species of fish, including trout and salmon, making it a popular destination for anglers.

Lovatnet is also known for its tragic history. In 1905, a massive landslide triggered a wave that swept through the valley, killing 135 people and destroying several farms and buildings.
