Hengifoss is a waterfall located in eastern Iceland, in the Skaftafell area of Vatnajökull National Park. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, with a height of approximately 128 meters (420 feet). The waterfall is known for its unique appearance, with its water cascading over red and black volcanic rock formations and creating a striking contrast against the green surrounding vegetation.

Hengifoss is easily accessible by car and is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. The waterfall can be reached by a 3 km (2 mile) hike from the parking area, along a well-trodden trail that winds through the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the park.
