Hanauma Bay is a scenic and popular tourist destination located on the southeastern coast of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It is a marine conservation area and a protected bay, known for its crystal clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life.

The bay was formed as a result of volcanic activity and erosion, and over time has become one of the most famous snorkeling and swimming destinations in Hawaii. It is home to a diverse array of marine life, including hundreds of different species of colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, and other sea creatures.

Hanauma Bay is also a popular spot for picnicking, sunbathing, and snorkeling. Visitors can rent snorkel gear and take guided snorkeling tours, which offer the chance to observe and learn about the diverse marine life of the bay.

In an effort to protect the delicate ecosystem of the bay and its inhabitants, a number of measures have been put in place, including a requirement for visitors to watch an educational video about the importance of preserving the bay and its wildlife before entering the park. Visitors are also encouraged to respect the park's rules and regulations and to take care not to damage the coral or disrupt the marine life.
